Just as you would call 9-1-1 for emergencies, you can call 2-1-1 for human service information and assistance. They are available 24 hours a day to listen and provide emotional support, crisis counseling, suicide prevention and information.
Big Bend Crime Stoppers
Big Bend Crime Stoppers’ mission is to increase the safety of the Big Bend Community by assisting law enforcement agencies in removing undesirable individuals from the community. Crimes can be anonymously reported and rewards are offered for information, encouraging people to turn over information.
Family Health Line
Family Health Line is a statewide toll-free hotline funded by the Florida Dept. of Health. The goal of the hotline is to improve the health status of Florida’s pregnant women, infants, and toddlers by: The majority of calls are from pregnant women or their partners. Other calls come from friends and relatives of pregnant women. All calls are confidential and are answered by trained counselors who are available: 8 AM to 11 PM, Mon-Fri and 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM, weekends, closed state holidays

Florida 511 provides information on all things road related, from accidents to construction, and shows which routes are safe during disasters like hurricanes. You can visit their site or call 5-1-1.
Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence
FCADV operates Florida’s toll-free domestic violence hotline (1-800-500-1119), linking callers to the nearest domestic violence center and provides translation assistance when needed. In addition, FCADV maintains a resource library of books, periodicals, and videos regarding domestic violence issues. FCADV has also developed posters, brochures, safety plans, and other resources. Many of these are available in several languages and may be ordered through FCADV.

The Missing Endangered Persons Information Clearinghouse (MEPIC) is the central repository of information regarding missing endangered persons in Florida. MEPIC assists law enforcement agencies and Florida’s citizens in finding missing persons. To report a missing person, please contact your local law enforcement agency first and then call MEPIC.
Mothers Against Drunk Driving
Founded by a mother whose daughter was killed by a drunk driver, Mothers Against Drunk Driving® (MADD) is the nation’s largest nonprofit working to protect families from drunk driving, drugged driving and underage drinking. MADD also supports drunk and drugged driving victims and survivors at no charge through local MADD victim advocates and the 24-Hour Victim Helpline 1-877-MADD-HELP.
